Film Screening: Grandpa was an Emperor
Award-winning documentary screening at Adwa Museum. The film follows Yeshi Kassa as she confronts difficult memories and seeks explanations about the Ethiopian Revolution of 1974 that toppled the government of her great-grandfather Emperor Haile Selassie. This documentary provides a no-holds-barred account that confronts difficult questions about a period of Ethiopian history which society has not properly dealt with, and which continues to affect the Imperial family and all people of Ethiopian heritage.
