90 Years of Silence: Reconstructing, Returning, Reactivating a Sound Archive of the Horn of Africa
Multi-sensory exhibition featuring the reconstruction of a sound archive containing over 300 traditional music recordings made during the Italian occupation of Ethiopia (1936–1941). The project includes contributions from the Andemta Collective, Gianpaolo Chiriacò, and Valentina Fusari. The exhibition presents recovered recordings alongside critical context to examine their historical and cultural significance. Open to the public daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM with free admission.
